This week’s question from my portal “The Neagle Code: Directions for Life” comes from someone who wishes to remain anonymous.
Hi David!
How do you “be” the person you desire when your whole life has been filled with fear? Where do you get the strength and courage to step out of your paradigm?
Thanks so much!
Hi!
Thanks for the question!
The first thing to realize is that everything comes from within you.
As children, we are taught to look outward for validation of what the world is like. But the truth is that all experiences come from inside of us.
You get to decide:
–>who you want to be, and
–>what you want your reality to be.
It is not determined by anyone else but you, especially now that you are an adult and are no longer dependent on anyone for survival.
But your reality won’t change until you start making new decisions.
In my line of work, I deal with the ideas of fear and courage every day.
They are, after all, inherently linked.
However, what I’ve come to realize from years of working in this arena, is that people have an innate misunderstanding about courage and fear.
Most people think courageous people aren’t scared, and that they don’t feel fearful. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
The thing is, you can use fear as a signpost of what TO DO in life and use it to catalyze new possibilities.
So be courageous and step into the fear. The fear won’t subside until you do the thing you are resisting.
Unless your life is being physically threatened, fear actually points the way!
Once you believe more in the Truth than you do your own story, change will be automatic.
