This week’s question from our portal “Ask Us Anything” comes from Stacy.
You teach that we live in a world of polarity and that everything has an opposite. But if I’m focusing on what I want, let’s say, more money, am I automatically creating the opposite by being aware that I don’t have it right now? How do I focus on what I want without reinforcing what I don’t have? Because it seems like a catch-22. If I want more money, that means I’m aware I don’t have enough, which means I’m focusing on lack. But if I pretend I have enough when I don’t, that feels like lying to myself. So what’s the answer?
Great question, and this is where most people get stuck. The key is not to focus on the absence of what you want, but on the presence of it.
When you say “I want more money,” what you’re really saying is “I don’t have enough money right now.” You’re making a statement about what’s missing. That’s focusing on the wrong pole. That’s being conscious of lack.
And here’s the problem: the universe doesn’t respond to what you want. It responds to what you’re conscious of. So if you’re conscious of lack, that’s what you’re going to keep creating, no matter how much you say you want abundance.
Instead, you need to be conscious of the money that’s here right now. Not the money that’s coming. Not the money you’re working toward. The money that exists right now in this moment.
This is where most people get confused, and I understand why. They think they’re being positive by saying “I’m going to have money” or “money is coming to me.” But that’s still operating from a consciousness of not having it yet. It’s still future-focused, which means you’re acknowledging that it’s not here now.
The truth is, all the money that ever was or ever will be is 100% present in all places at the same time, and it’s available to you right now. You’re not waiting for it to show up. You’re not working to attract it. You’re recognizing that it’s already here.
Now, you asked about whether that feels like lying to yourself. And I get it. If your bank account says $1,000 and you’re trying to be conscious of $100,000, it can feel like you’re denying reality.
But here’s what you need to understand: that number in your bank account is not reality. It’s a result. It’s a past result based on your past consciousness. The reality is the universal supply that’s available right now. Your job is to become conscious of that supply, not the past result.
When you shift your consciousness to the abundance that’s here now, your actions change, your energy changes, and therefore your results change. That’s not lying to yourself. That’s aligning with a higher truth.
That’s the shift in consciousness that changes everything.
