This week’s question from our portal “Ask Us Anything” comes from Nicole:
I have a question about sales from a place of helping people and being unattached to the outcome. But what if you really need the money, and the outcome of that sale is very important? How do you stay in the right energy and still be unattached to the outcome, even if you really need the sale?
It’s a numbers game. All sales is is a numbers game. You have a goal—it doesn’t matter whether you need the money or the money is just for whatever you want, it’s just a dollar amount—and you have a product or service that benefits somebody. And you go through the numbers until you get the sales. You ask people to buy every day.
The energy behind it is that you’re helping people.
You don’t really need the money. That’s an illusion. Nobody needs money. People want money, they don’t need it. We existed for hundreds of thousands of years on this planet without any money. The idea that we’ve been taught that we need money is complete bullshit.
You want money, though, and that’s a very different energy. It’s not needy. So that’s where you focus.
And one of the biggest secrets behind success is not giving a shit if you lose—because there’s no negative energy put into what you do. If you can stand there and go “I’m going after this dream, and if I lose everything in the process, I will get back up and do it again. I’m not concerned, that’s the direction I’m going”—you’ve already won when you do that.
