Borrowing Money Vs. Making More Sales

This week’s question from our portal “Ask Us Anything” comes from Anonymous.

I know you’ve talked about leverage before. Right now, I’m at a point where I want to leverage some money from the bank, but because I just purchased my house, my credit isn’t the best. I’m kind of freaking out with my credit cards. I can pay them, but I’ve been looking for other ways to leverage money.

I was even thinking about getting a loan from my vehicle so I can leverage that money and make sure I have sufficient cash on hand. I feel like I’m spiraling, though. Any thoughts?

Why don’t you make more sales?

For a business owner, I think sales is the best leverage there is, quite frankly.

Whenever Steph and I want to make a lot more money in our company, we just make a bunch more sales. It’s so much fun. It’s so easy to do, and we can make as much as we want.

I don’t ever think about where can I get money from somebody else.
That never really crosses my mind.

If you have the skillset of sales and you learn how to polish it, you can use it anytime you want. Do you see the freedom that brings you?

To be financially constricted because you don’t have the ability to make money — or you have resistance around making sales — that forces you to do things that aren’t comfortable. It creates a burden in your life.

When you can make the sales, there’s no more financial burden in your life.

It’s over. That whole craziness that we’re born into is completely gone. Lack mindset is gone.

Focus your energy on making sales for this coming week.

WHY DO YOU KEEP LOSING SALES YOU SHOULD BE WINNING?

It’s not your product, your price, or your pitch. It’s that you’re talking to the wrong mind, and you can’t even see it.

A sale doesn’t happen in the conscious mind. It happens in the subconscious mind.

When a prospect says they need to think about it, they don’t have the money, or the timing isn’t right, what they’re telling you on the surface isn’t what’s driving their decision.

If you don’t see what’s really happening, you don’t know what to say or do next. That’s the blind spot, and it can cost you the sale.

This month, Steph Tuss joins me for a brand-new 5-part series on The Successful Mind Podcast where we go deep into the different types of sales blind spots and what’s going on in your brain that’s causing you to lose sales you should be closing.

You’ll learn about the four Sales Blind Spot types: the Reluctant Seller, the People-Pleaser, the Convincer, and the Catalyst, and how each one kills the sale.

We also created a free tool that shows you what’s really happening in your sales conversations, where exactly you’re losing the deal, and how to fix it.

If a sale has ever slipped away and you couldn’t explain why, this series is for you.
