This week’s question from our portal “Ask Us Anything” comes Jessie.

I’ve heard you talk about believing in yourself as the first step, then mastering our thinking, and then believing in something. Could you go deeper into these three stages? I want to understand the progression from not knowing what we don’t know to actually becoming creators of our reality.

Let me walk you through these three distinct stages of consciousness and creation.
First Stage: Most of the world operates here – they don’t see any connection between themselves and the reality they’re experiencing. They think they’re just “a thing in a world of things.” Everything happens TO them. They feel they have no control over anything in their lives.
Second Stage: This begins when someone starts asking different questions like “Does it really have to be this way?” or “I want a better life.” They become open to learning that they do have some control. At this stage, people learn they can control their thinking and thereby influence their outcomes. However, their belief is still focused on believing IN something – things that already exist, things they can see, what’s already been created in the outside world.
Third Stage: This is believing something IN – taking it to the next level where you realize “I can create anything I want in my mind and manifest it in the physical. Anything. It doesn’t matter what it is.”
At this highest stage, you start creating your life not based on external choices that other people
have put in front of you, but from the choices that come from inside yourself.
The fundamental difference is this: Second stage is believing in what you can see, what already exists. Third stage is believing in what you don’t see, what you create in your mind that has nothing to do with the outside world.
This represents a complete shift from being a reactor to being a creator. Instead of choosing from a menu of options the world presents to you, you’re creating entirely new possibilities from your imagination and bringing them into reality.
This is a whole different level of living – where you understand that your imagination isn’t separate from reality, but is actually where all reality begins.
